The Trellis’ Open House and Art Show on August 9 was well

Barbershop in the Park, on Sunday, August 27th was a big
hit with Locals and Barbershop fans from the Metro area.
It was a perfect day as four ensembles entertained us with
traditional Barbershop arrangements as well as newer songs
in four-part harmony. Attendees even had a chance to learn
parts and sing together. Newcomers to the genre were heard
saying how they had no idea it would be so enjoyable!
Last Chance for La Center Movie Nights September 7th
A family favorite, “Cars”, will play on the big screen at
La Center’s Sternwheeler Park Amphitheater on September
7th. The movie starts right after dusk and the Chamber
will have a concession stand selling treats and soft drinks
so come on out and enjoy a free night of entertainment!
Look! Chamber Meeting Place
Has Been Changed!
Beginning with our first meeting in September [this coming
Wednesday], we will be meeting at All Sports Pizzeria on
4th Avenue in La Center. There is more adequate parking
available, however, on 4th street the parking period is
limited to a half hour! We’re going to try something
new…meet at 11:30 to Noon for ‘Networking’ then start the
meeting at Noon. If you can’t make it by 11:30, no
problem, but allow yourself a little extra time because….
We are going to be able to order lunch again! Please call
your order in to Julie before 11:30 at 263-6426.
She’ll need a little lead-time for soup, salad, sandwiches
and burgers, but pizza is always available by the slice.
Now that school is back in session, we thought you might
enjoy spending a Friday night watching your favorite
gridiron team battle for a win. Those games marked with an
