Our Chamber has been busy with local events and festivals and we would like to thank the many tireless and dedicated Chamber members who volunteered their time to make our participation & sponsorships possible: Linda Tracy, Sandra Robertson, and Wendy McGraw for making the Miss Teen La Center Pageant possible. Movie Night: Justin Keeler from the La Center Library and Wendy McGraw for setting up and selling goodies during "Over the Hedge". THANK YOU! Next Movie Night: August 8th "Madagascar" Autumn Borros was crowned 2008 Miss Teen La Center on July 19th. A 2007 graduate of La Center High and now attending Oregon State University, Autumn will be a wonderful ambassador to the City of La Center. The Clark County Historical Museum is housed in Vancouver*s 1909 Carnegie Library which is located at 1511 Main St. Vancouver, WA 98660. Regular museum hours are: Tuesday through Saturday 11-4 PM. Admission rates apply. The museum is also open first Thursday evenings from 5-9 PM for First Thursday Museum After Hours. A wheelchair accessible entrance to the museum is located on the east side of the museum building accessed from 16th street. Pomeroy House Tea Room Seatings are Wed-Sat at 11:30, 1:00, and 2:30 [Reservations: 686-3537]. Their newly renovated log house will be open for tours Wed-Sat 11-4p and Sundays 1-4p through August 31st. Adults $3 and kids 3-11 $2.
