Your Chamber Officers: Linda Tracy President Scott Edwards 1st Vice President Al Lane 2nd Vice President Cindy Lane Secretary Denise Koopman Treasurer Board Members: Wendy McGraw Todd Snider Justin Keeler Kimberly Wilbanks Presidents message:
I'm so excited to be your President once again. Since I was your President in 2004, La Center's population has doubled. I used to look up the hill from our previous home on Heritage Loop and see nothing but a hillside filled with trees...now I see homes. Where the old hospital used to sit, on the corner of 4th and Cedar, now sits the La Center Marketplace and Chevron, plus several other businesses in that complex. The hospital building was remarkably transformed into the beautiful La Center Library, with the help of the Fort Vancouver Library and Friends of the La Center Library, which sits on the corner of John Storm Avenue and 4th. Our Chamber remains SMALL but our vision for La Center is BIG. A big thank you to Wendy McGraw for her outstanding leadership as President in 2009. In the few short years I've known her she's never changed her dedication to our Community and never says a project for the Chamber is too hard to accomplish. We are so lucky to have a wonderful City to support our Community events....the staff works tirelessly to make sure the Chamber has what it needs when it needs it.....without that support the Chamber wouldn't have the ability to do what it does for our businesses and our Community. We are also very lucky to have the support of our main industry, The New Phoenix & Last Frontier and Chips & Palace, our four non-tribal cardrooms. It seems like they find a way to give us what we ask for and what we need to facilitate events....they are very Community minded and it's so very much appreciated. 2010 is shaping up to be an exciting year for the La Center Chamber and our Community. Your new Board of Directors has some fresh ideas and some ways to make the old ideas work even better. Support the Chamber and the Community by renewing your membership or joining the Chamber for the first time, if that's the case, we want to work for you. La Center and the North County area will be finding more ways to promote itself and it's businesses to help all of us get through these tough economic times.
Linda Tracy, President Elect 2010
